HIKING AT THE VOLCANO OSORNO
Soft Difficulty. 1/2 day
Departure from Puerto Varas toward Ensenada, where we begin the walk of 4 1/2 hours
approximately. We will begin walking through the beach, skirting the lake Llanquihue,
with views of the volcanoes Llanquihue and Calbuco, we will enter the National Park
Vicente Perez Rosales to the area of Green Lagoon. It is a beautiful lagoon that
gets itss emerald color from the minerals and algae. Then, we begin the ascent toward
the foot of the volcano Osorno, first on the route; (1 1/2 km.) and afterwards we
will always go through a path inside the native evergreen forest, typical of this
region of the world. We have views to the valley of the river Petrohue, Sierra Santo
Domingo, and to the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco. We will share a picnic lunch and
then we will return toward Ensenada, where transfer to Puerto Varas is waiting for
us.

WATERFALL EL CALIENTE
Difficulty level: medium. 1 day.
Departure in vehicle from Puerto Varas to Ensenada (1 hour). Here starts the horseback
riding for approx.4,5 hours. We will walk through native forest where you will see
the contrast between the red Notros and the white Ulmos flower. At a height of 100
m. Above the White river, at the lookout ìSalto de Piedrasi we will be surrounded
by pristine landscapes like the turquoise colored waterfalls coming from the Andes
Mountain. We will have views to the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco and we will go by
sandbanks and volcanic stones of the last eruptions in 1929 and 1960, we will walk
through the canyon of a river until arriving at the impressive waterfall ìEl
Calientei with a height of more than 60 m. Whoever wishes to take a bath can do
so. Picnic lunch and return.

There, the canoe guide gives an introductory chat to the canoeist, and accompanies
us in this trip of approximately 3 hours. We will visit the island Loreley and will
be in intimate contact with the birds and plants of this beautiful place. We will
navigate the calm waters of the lake, share a picnic lunch and enjoy the nature.
Afterwards return to Puerto Varas.

RAFTING RIVER PETROHUÖ

Departure from Puerto Varas to river Petrohue . Your guide hands out the equipment
to the participants (wet suits, life vests, helmets oars). Safety instructions. Afterwards
starts the ride in professional self bailing rafts, the rapids of the river Petrohue
grade 3 to 4. We have wonderful views to the volcanoes Puntiagudo, Osorno and Calbuco
. During our ride we will encounter native birds such as Cormoranes, Martin fisherman,
and others. After 17 kms of exciting adventure we arrive at the exit of the river.
Picnic lunch with sandwiches, cookies, Coca - Cola and the famous Pisco Sour. Afterwards
return to Puerto Varas.
Departure in vehicle from Petrohue towards the volcano Osorno. On the road we will
sea Lenga forests inside a well preserved environment . We arrive at the sector La
Burbujai at a height of 1350 meters. From La Burbuja we take a walk to the foot of
the volcano Osorno, to enjoy the panoramic views and to take pictures. High up here
you have an unique view to the summit of the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco with their
snow topped peaks and to the lake Llanquihue .Picnic Lunch and afterwards return
to Puerto Varas

TREKKING PATH DESOLATION
Difficulty level: medium. 1 day.
Departure from Puerto Varas towards Petrohue. From the Hotel Petrohue we start the
approx. 7 hour trek, skirting lake Todos los Santos. We ascend to the sandbank of
the volcano until arriving at a magma canyon. From here we arrive at the Path Desolation.
Here the Jesuits discovered in the 17th Century the lake Todos los Santos. The view
to the National Park Vicente Perez Rosales is amazing. We continue towards the sandbanks
of volcano Osorno. During the walk we have a spectacular view to the volcanoes Osorno,
Puntiagudo, Tronador and Calbuco, lake Todos los Santos and to the Andes Mountain.
